While celebrities have been quick to pay tribute to Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy following his death at the age of 83, it appears the actor had an effect on those beyond the world of showbiz.
Those included space agency NASA – who marked the actor’s passing with a special tribute of their own, recalling a visit they received from Nimoy and other Star Trek cast members in 1976.
They also posted the shot to Twitter, saying: ‘So many of us at NASA were inspired by Star Trek. Boldly go…’
